From April 9th to 19th, Eaton HK and the Chinese University of Hong Kong jointly held the "Belong and Belongings" art exhibition. The exhibition is curated by 13 students from the CUMT3005 curatorial plan and practice of the Bachelor of Cultural Management course. Through artworks, it shows the journey of different individuals to find themselves throughout their lives.
"Belong and Belongings" presents the works, performances, and lectures of 14 artists, including mixed media artists Tang Guoqian and Ye Jianbang, who explore the meaning of identity in different fields; there is also a new generation of illustrator Lu Zhengran, whose works show the search for identity The changes and transitions you face on your journey.
Well-known cross-media artist, educator and curator Yan Yingjia brings a series of self-exploring art workshops: "Subliminal Consciousness - Meditation and Expressive Art Therapy Workshop", "Queer Coexistence - Queer Art Workshop" and "Expressions of the Body - Performance Art and Body Workshop". Artist Yan Yingjia will also attend a symposium hosted by cultural critic Li Weiting together with artist and art critic Chen Shile to discuss self-identity and gender issues.
