In the thick of the Pandemic, an underground artist collective was burgeoning in Hong Kong while we were panicking about what the unpredictable future would bring. EJAR ( EASTERN JADE Art Renaissance) envisions and creates a utopia in a tenement building in Shau Kei Wan. EJAR is the name of: a shared artist studio space, an artist-collective, and a spirit. Their artistic practices encompass visual arts, contemporary sound and music, curation and arts education. The curator capitalizes the Goethe-Gallery and presents personal works by the four core members; and through their experiences and creations they respond to our time, the Zeitgeist.
EJAR is a self-initiated Hong Kong’s artist collective. This exhibition features personal works by the four core members– HO Julvian, Dino Rib, Shek Po Kwan and Gavin Yip. Curated by Kalen Lee.
The exhibition opens on April 5, 2025 (Sat) from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM with a guided tour by the curator and the artists.
Venue address: 14/F Hong Kong Arts Centre, 2 Harbour Road, Wanchai
