Wolfgang Tillmans: The Point Is Matter at David Zwirner

Wolfgang Tillmans: The Point Is Matter at David Zwirner

You can read several books and numerous articles on the significance and influence of Wolfgang Tillmans, but you can only hear some things during talks and interviews. Among those was the idea of using a gallery space as an extension of a studio, with most of the works being unframed and taped to the walls. That creates a special feeling of freedom and temporality of a moment — things that Tillmans is known for.
Significant places, special moments, captured experiences, specific light conditions, older works, newer ones, landscapes and portraits, experiments and visual documentation — the exhibition, as a whole Wolfgang Tillmans’s career, has it all.

Exhibition period: 25.03–11.05
Gallery address: 5–6/F, H Queen’s, Central
