Minoru Nomata: Unbuilt at White Cube

The dream world of every introverted person. I mean, yes, most of them look haunted and eerie, some are a bit post-apocalyptic — but look, there are no people and not that much of a human presence! Although after so many months of pandemic it’s not that desirable anymore even for true introverts, is it? More theatrical then realistic—or surrealistic—the buildings look like a gorgeous set of decorations for an intriguing play about rediscovered cities of lost civilisations or retro-futuristic fantasies about the future that had never actually happened.
(By the way, Magic the Gathering associations, anyone? No? I can’t be the only one!)
