Lee Eunsae: Cold Rub at PHD Group
Emitting acid-green light—the very hue we associate with toxicity and radioactivity—uranium glass is a peculiar object of desire for collectors.
There should be a special term for the tension between being enchanted with something beautiful and eerie but at the same time being scared and anxious about the potential damage it could cause. Luckily the glass itself is not that dangerous, the paintings even less so and you can experience the aforementioned no-name feeling in complete safety.
Exhibition period: 3.02—11.03
Gallery address: Gooseneck Bridge, Wan Chai
