Exhibition by Charlotte Mary Pack at Maison Huit

For the ongoing “Species Pot” series the artist used the Red List of endangered species, raising awareness to the existing problem of ecological ruin.
In 2018, knowing that in every 24 hours, up to 100 elephants are killed for their tusks, the artist decided to make a stand against it by staying up for 24 hours and making 100 little porcelain elephants.
Though, no matter how cute these sculptures are, they’re not made to only “aww” at. They’re made to raise awareness that these animals are dying, and usually from anthropogenic causes. If you’re not going to save them to prevent ecological ruin, will them being cute help change your mind?
The gallery will be donating 15% of proceeds to WWF Hong Kong and HK Dog Rescue, to support the artist’s passion to save animals.
