Developed during their August residency at Para Site, artist James Richards and writer Mason Leaver-Yap present a live programme of video, text, and music. This collagistic event draws on the pair’s outputs and influences. Taking inspiration from ideas of togetherness and departure as manifested on a cellular and social level, the long-time collaborators present their material in dialogue with works by other artists and writers. This relay considers and builds a network of resonances, loops, and contaminations.

Para Site’s International Residency Programme aims to cultivate dialogue and connect Hong Kong with thought leaders who are shaping narratives, conversations, and practices in contemporary art both regionally as well as beyond. The residency is envisioned as an open-ended platform that nurtures exchanges between participants and the local and regional art scenes, encouraging studio visits, talks, screenings, performances, and various other collaborative activities.
