  • Hong Kong Hong Kong (map)

On the occasion of the commemoration of Mr. Jin Yong in Hong Kong, Art of Nature collaborates with the renowned sculptor Chen Jianhua to express his respect for Mr. Jin Yong through the “Deer Bellows, Tribute to Jin Yong – Chen Jianhua Sculpture Exhibition”. Chen Jianhua is a famous sculptor from Nanjing. His works have been selected several times for China National Art Fund for major art creations on historical themes. He is skilled in interpreting traditional themes with modern sculpture. The Jin Yong sculpture created by him in 2018 is a masterpiece that pays tribute to Mr. Jin Yong.

This exhibition showcases Chen’s “Divine Deer in the East” series of sculptures and the sculpture of Mr. Jin Yong. Mr. Jin Yong devoted his entire life to the world of martial arts fiction, where he pursued his ideals. From “The Legend of the Condor Heroes” and “The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils” to his final work, “The Deer and the Cauldron”, the struggle for power, the clash of swords, and the pursuit of power and wealth were all depicted through the imagery of the deer, which represents power, prey, desire, and is a hidden symbol throughout all of Jin Yong’s works. In Chen’s “Divine Deer in the East” series, the deer is restored as a spiritual summons, reflecting Mr. Jin Yong’s inner humanistic ideals. At the same time, through the deer’s bellow, the exhibition offers a new perspective to revisit the world of Jin Yong’s martial arts fiction.
