Wong Ka Ying: Plastic Love at Square Street Gallery
The first thing that strikes you upon seeing the exhibition is how minimalistic and monochromatic it is… I am kidding, it’s screaming pink, glitter and is seemingly exultant. And of course, it is deeply critical, philosophical and filled with cultural references and allusions (look at me: I managed to avoid the trite rhyme plastic-fantastic—or didn’t I?).
This was genuinely one of my favorite exhibitions of April, I relentlessly recommended it to anyone within reach— go see it before it closes!
