Wong Chak Hung: NON Fashion Magazine at Touch Gallery

Monkey see, monkey do and we, being just monkeys in shoes, are mostly helpless in resisting to the societal pressure and hierarchy. Some fall for status, some—for self expression (that is also related to status), and some for being-not-like-others (which is—surprise!—also a status thing).
The second part of the exhibition shows fascination with the uniforms, that erase most of the differences, turning people wearing them into the symbols of specific functions and skills (not unlike the total look offered by a brand).
