I enjoy visiting artists and seeing their studios. I show them the way I see them, hopefully revealing something interesting.

Oct 26 The Thread Is Not Straight at Denny Dimin Gallery

With the legacy of American Pattern and Decoration movement in mind the group exhibition explores possibilities of textile and thread as a medium and the implied value and narratives. Textile is still quite often seen as applied art, female or traditional crafts but not close to “real art”, so it is always a pleasure to see that being proved wrong again.
Participating artists: Diedrick Brackens, Cristina Camacho, IV Chan, Marie Hazard, Ip Wai Lung, Judy Ledgerwood, and Josie Love Roebuck.
