The Thread Is Not Straight at Denny Dimin Gallery
With the legacy of American Pattern and Decoration movement in mind the group exhibition explores possibilities of textile and thread as a medium and the implied value and narratives. Textile is still quite often seen as applied art, female or traditional crafts but not close to “real art”, so it is always a pleasure to see that being proved wrong again.
Participating artists: Diedrick Brackens, Cristina Camacho, IV Chan, Marie Hazard, Ip Wai Lung, Judy Ledgerwood, and Josie Love Roebuck.
Exhibition period: 10.09—29.10.22
Gallery address: 612 Remex Center, Wong Chuk Hang
