This issue of ‘That Artist’ is a bit sad because Espen is leaving Hong Kong. But I thought that it’s difficult to get rid of HK influence that fast, so for some time he still will have that specific HK aroma in his artworks. I like to observe how Espen turns collected impressions into abstract or symbolic, and often seemingly simple forms, so I am quite interested to see what he will be creating next.
