The World Is Your Oyster at Ben Brown Fine Art

The World Is Your Oyster at Ben Brown Fine Art

Food is the perfect theme for art exploration: ancient myths and modern mythologization, the moral dilemma that we have with our food sources, the line between eatable and not, the social media aspect of all our food consumption—the camera eats first—and our obsession with novelty and uniqueness, the vague idea of how much effort, time and resources are needed to grow enough food for the growing number of people and so, so much more.

Curated by Juliana Chan and showing works by five Hong Kong artists: Lau Hong Lam, Lo Lai Lai Natalie, Mindy Lui, Amy Tong and Gavin Yip.

When: 9 August—21 September
Where: 201 The Factory, 1 Yip Fat Street, Wong Chuk Hang
