One is Not Born a Woman at Square Street Gallery

One can be born a female but only your agreement with the societal norms and constructs will determine your womanhood.
Much was written and said about the difference between sex and gender, so I definitely won’t be squeezing that into IG post. Just a small note on etymology: the word “gender” came from Latin genus that means “kind”, “type”, or “sort”. Obviously before deciding—consciously or not—on your kind you should have some exploration and experience.
