cucurrucucu: work on paper at Square Street Gallery

Most of the times collages are considered by artists to be just preparatory sketches for a large scale work, prove of concept or some sort of creative exercise to fight the artist’s block.
Most of the times visitors are expected to only look at art, appreciate it (and hopefully purchase).
Most of the times the art process is happening somewhere behind the closed doors, at the artist’s studio or home.
Luckily most of the times Square Street Gallery aren’t following the rules. So come grab a pair of scissors, choose a magazine or a book and follow the instructions. I personally find beautiful irony in the invitation to create an artwork by cutting photos of art from @artasiapacific : the whole circle of art is now complete!
Also think about @asiaartarchive located nearby when you creatively destroy one of the exhibition catalogues.
