Deborah Brown: Silent Shadows at Bonhams
The streets look so colorful and vivid yet empty and still, making the shadows of the artist and her dog the most animated objects. Contrasting lights turn lush green gardens, Brooklyn’s warehouses, and Los Angeles neighborhoods into something more like a movie set (not in an eerie but rather alienating way).
