Trends have their lifecycle: something fresh and new will turn into ubiquitous, then to boring outdated cliche, only to emerge later as nostalgia and—potentially—source material for a new trend. Reflecting on the trends of their youth as well as contemporary ones, both artists explore their influence on culture and our memories.
