Tomihiro Kono, Sayaka Maruyama: Fancy Creatures: The Art of the Wig at Current Plans

I feel like I need to make up words for describing these wigs because ‘whimsical’ and ‘flamboyant’ are a bit too simple. Look at them! Bizarretesque? Exubertatious? Fantaschivous?
I also would say that reflecting on your associations is a very important part of the exhibition experience (I personally think one of them is a close relative of Glaucus atlanticus, the venomous blue sea dragon).
And what’s the best part? You can actually buy them (after you try them on, of course; don’t forget to bombard your friends with selfies, make them jealous).
