That artist: Brendan Fitzpatrick
Seeing through layers of masks and expressions, patiently waiting for a sitter to relax and reveal the true, the vulnerable, the self, should be rewarding, but I feel that only a person genuinely interested in people can do it. Also, portrait painters have to constantly solve an incredibly difficult problem of finding their style without adding too much of themselves to the artworks. I wish Brendan will continue to keep it going.
