Gianluca Crudele: Echo at Square Street Gallery

…And all that remains of Echo is the sound of her voice, just repeating the words and sounds that are not even addressed to her. Always found this story infuriating — most Greek myths aren’t exactly the happiest stories from the female perspective. I like though that Echo’s name is a part of the word “echolalia” which, among other meanings, is an imitative learning stage in children's development. I hope she would like that.
