I enjoy visiting artists and seeing their studios. I show them the way I see them, hopefully revealing something interesting.

Yes to anything joyful in this overwhelming constant flow of bad news. Allowing yourself to feel joy in tough times without guilt is indeed an act of resistance and preserving your sanity.
Paintings by Iranian born artist are visually joyful as well: ornamental and saturated with details taken from archive of images—from Iranian miniature to pop culture, from art nouveau to contemporary art. The original context of the image and the combined message can be not that happy but hey, we are trying to get as much joy as we can.
