Art in Resonance at Peninsula

Art in Resonance at Peninsula

This year Peninsula presents projects by Lin Fanglu, Phoebe Hui, and Chris Cheung.
Phoebe Hui created the large scale installation Lunar Rainbow, that consists of image fragments of the moon from archives and contemporary sources. I still need to return and see it in the evening, when it’s illuminated in all of its glory at the Peninsula’s facade.
Lin Fanglu works with textiles, studying traditional tie-dye of Bai minorities and the Dong people’s techniques. The installation reflects (among other themes) on the invisible women’s labor.
Chris Cheung (aka h0nh1m) created The Flow Pavilion in collaboration with Tai Ping carpets (by the way, never touch a pure silk carpet unless you are ready to add it to the list of things you now desperately want). The elegant tea pavilion contains a programmed kinetic ball, that moves in an intricate fashion based on the artist’s brain waves during meditation.
(Works by Lin Fanglu, Phoebe Hui will be on display until May, while The Flow Pavilion by Chris Cheung is until 9th of April)

Exhibition period: 24.03–9.04
