Zaha Hadid Architects: Vertical Urbanism at HKDI

  • Hong Kong Hong Kong (map)

Curated by Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) especially for the Hong Kong Design Institute, the exhibition Zaha Hadid Architects: Vertical Urbanism extends Ms. Hadid's exploration on the theme of urbanism by presenting a range of approaches taken by ZHA to create vibrant and sustainable community orientated spaces within dense urban conditions, opening up a dialogue around urbanism in the 21st century.

The exhibition will also include a summary of the ongoing research and development within the studio, often incorporating collaborations with renowned scientific institutions developing new innovations in robotics, artificial intelligence and digital fabrication which in turn informs the studio's design process. On display will be technical drawings and diagrams, computer generated visualisations, physical models, video projections and virtual reality experiences.

In line with social distancing measures, the exhibition will adopt a session-based policy with limitation to the number of visitors within the gallery. Visitors will be required to book their preferred timeslots in advance here for timed visits.
