Oi! invited fashion designer Toby Crispy to reorganize and integrate over 130 stitch patterns and stories created by participants in the previous "SLOW STiTCH NOMAD @ Oi!" project, and transformed them into upcycled garments and art installations for the exhibition. Elements of moving images and lighting effects are also featured to demonstrate the collective memories of the city and the flow of time. The exhibition is accompanied with a series of interactive workshops which allow the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the stories behind each stitch pattern and learn to share their impressions of the city through stitching, jointly participating in weaving together the collective memories of the city.
"Oi! Daily" is one of the curatorial approaches of Oi!, which aims to uncover the fun of art in life and view seemingly ordinary aspects of daily life from an artistic perspective.
