Stephen Hoskins: Flight of Fancy at HKOP Gallery

  • Hong Kong Hong Kong (map)

Modern technology is changing with each passing day. When printmaking was in a downturn in the late 1990s, Stephen Hoskins established IMPACT*. The biennial international printmaking conference has profoundly influenced the revival of contemporary print art, research on print technologies and their applications.

Hoskins is also the founder of the Centre for Print research at the University of the West of England. As a pioneer of traditional print techniques and state-of-the-art print technologies, Hoskins has made a significant contribution to the research of contemporary printmaking technology.

The 18 artworks presented in “Stephen Hoskins: Flight of Fancy” illustrate prints can be created beyond paper with such an appealing merge of traditional print art and modern print technology.
