Streams Gallery proudly presents: “I Can Hear Me” by Brazilian artist Revolue. Through this solo exhibition, new works of Revolue will be showcased, along with an additional selection of sculptures; altogether demonstrating his inclination towards experimenting and risk-taking in his artistic endeavours. As the title suggests, the exhibition serves as a means for Revolue to express his personal perspective on the world and his reflections on life over the past two decades. The show will run from July 7th to July 23rd and marks the artist’s first solo exhibition in Asia. Visitors can expect to be captivated by Revolue’s unique artistic style, which seamlessly blends classical techniques with street art influences.
In metropolitans where everything is accessible, our lives become heavily defined by our secular desires, leaving us no time to truly connect with ourselves. We surround ourselves with material possessions, adorn our bodies with extravagant clothing, and fill our time with the constant presence of technology. However, despite having seemingly attained everything we desire, are we truly happy? This question is at the heart of “I Can Hear Me”, an innovative art exhibition that seeks to explore the inner workings of our modern lives and invite visitors to confront their inner chaos and anxiety. Revolue believes that one of the greatest challenges for humanity is to truly listen to ourselves. “Listening to oneself is one of the hardest things we humans can do. We keep distracting ourselves and looking externally for any magic button that will allow us to avoid facing ourselves”, says the artist. Through this exhibition, REVOLUE invites all visitors to come face-to-face with their inner selves and engage in an honest dialogue of self-discovery and introspection. The objective is to encourage visitors to question the illusions of modern life and examine whether the pursuit of materialistic ideals truly leads to fulfillment.
