Photographers for Social Change at Goethe Institut

  • Hong Kong Hong Kong (map)

The largest global photography event of its kind, 24 Hour Project is a collective of thousands of photographers from over 900 cities in over 90 countries, who come together with the purpose of documenting humanity and raising awareness of pressing human/social issues, telling stories from their own city through street photography.

One day a year, post one photo per hour on social media (such as Instagram, Facebook...), for 24 consecutive hours. It is amazing to see what happened in 24 hours around the world at the same moment.

The project has been well received by participants from all over the world, and exhibitions of the selected photos have taken place in Australia, Mexico, Ecuador, Finland, Iran, Italy, Malaysia, Peru, Poland and the USA.

This year, Hong Kong is hosting the exhibition for the first time, as the highlight of the 10th anniversary celebration, showcasing the best of many captivating street photography works in our city and around the world, from the last 10 years, showcasing the top 99 printed photos and 100+ digital images from over 700 submissions worldwide.
