Japan’s oldest international auction house, New Art Est-Ouest Auctions is celebrating 40 years of bringing Asian art to international audiences. New Art Est-Ouest Auctions, which opened its Hong Kong branch in 2008, continues to promote Asian art and artists with the launch of its 2024 Hong Kong Autumn Auction on 5 October.

This season’s auction has over 130 pieces, including the widely recognized Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki, whose works will appear in a Hong Kong auction for the first time, as well as renowned Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama, and a curated selection from the private collection of a revered Japanese Shodo artist that is also offered to the market for the first time. From the modern and antique Chinese Calligraphy and Paintings category, celebrated artist Fu Shan and Wu Changshuo’s work will be showcased as well.
