Forging the Wild represents an unbending and rebellious spirit. It is a state of existence that strives to break free but yearns to grow, and a critical attitude that is cynical but striving to improve. It is a complex situation that is full of vitality and risks at the same time.
3812 Gallery is excited to represent Liu Yangwen, a young contemporary Chinese artist, and present his first-ever Hong Kong solo exhibition, Forging the Wild, featuring new works including The Blaze of Flowers, 18-3-22 and Forging the Wild. Liu Yangwen is a ‘Gen Z’ artist who explores the spirit of living and reality through creation. He adopts the use of sharp lines and bold colours to reinterpret everyday objects, breaking through traditional perceptions and boundaries, and constructing them with his own distinctive artistic language and form. The exhibition will debut from 10 November to 12 December 2022 at 3812 Gallery Hong Kong.
Gallery address: 26/F, Wyndham Place, 40-44 Wyndham Street, Central
