Six months ago, 4 individuals crossed paths in a programme designed to literally take us away from here under the pretext of pursuing the meaning of successful art. Come 1st June 2024 we shall bear witness to the fruits of labour from these fab 4 who have barely survived the Gallic clutches that L’art de Triomphe programme had promised to deliver.
The resulting exhibition is a heterogeneous collective of works that will swerve our attentions to the secret history of the Jesuit order and its influence on modern day systematic removal of privacy in exchange of control; the transmogrification of one’s mental anguish and physical threats in the face of an ongoing real life hate campaign into a source of creative energy, and to reciprocate adversity in the name of art; the re-examination of one’s own personal identity through over reproduction and factory line serialisation until all trace of distinguishable feature is lost; to turbocharge the blurring of reality and mental perception with the oversaturating, misusing and abusing of everyday technology in an doomed attempt to attain the nirvana.
Their triumphant return show could just be the writing of a relatively new history of art through their broad and eclectic interpretations of these real and present dangers, and seriously calling into question what we have up to now defined and understood as art.

I write about every exhibition I went to, and I go to almost every exhibition there is in Hong Kong. I shoot and edit my own photos for this blog.
I enjoy visiting artists and seeing their studios. I show them the way I see them, hopefully revealing something interesting.
I’m a proudly independent art blogger with no affiliation to any organisation. I blog because I love art and support the artists.
