Having a published photo book and an exhibition to showcase my works are always my dream. What happened in HK in the past year, I found many people feeling hopeless and unhappy, and I can relate to that emotion as well. Yet, life goes on, having a negative emotion cannot get myself to anywhere. We still need to keep on going with our lives.
This photo series “HK days” is a therapy and exercise for myself to look at the beauty in my ordinary life. Not every day is exciting and fun, but there is always beauty in it. The book starts with a blurry image of my bus ride at North Point, symbolising HK is under a heavy rain right now... it continues with the vibrant lights of HK, that shows HK has been so beautiful and attractive that we all used to know. After the city captures, it shows the nature part of HK, which allows people to get away from the stress of work, relax, rethink, and reconnect to the nature to get inspirations and meditation.
