Goethe-Institut Hongkong is pleased to present the interdisciplinary visual arts exhibition, Subtle Light, curated by Chan Man Chun in collaboration with local Feng Shui master Fazenman. Under the framework of Feng Shui, works including ceramics, installation, painting, photography and sound by five Hong Kong artists Chan Hiu Tung, Ng Ka Ho, Wong Mei Yin Hazel, Chung Mark and Fly contemplate the relationship between the body and urban space of Hong Kong.
“Subtle Light” is a term derived from Chapter 36 of Tao Te Jing. In this chapter, retreat is taken as a gesture of advancement, and things go beyond limits may occur on a flip side, as the worse things get, the better is foreseen. It is vital for us to cultivate mindfulness and awareness from within. Exhibition opening in the presence of the curator, the Feng Shui Master and the artists on 10.7.2021 (Sat) at 3:00pm.
