The microscopic rotation of electrons around an atom, the rotation of earth on its axis, and its rotation around the sun; we are surrounded by an abundance of natural rotational energy. I explore these rotational forces by relating them to the circular motion of the potter’s wheel. By focussing my energies on the wheel, all worldly worries disappear. They are instead replaced by an almost meditative calmness as I control the centrifugal and centripetal energies while centring, lifting, and trimming the clay.
