Galerie Koo is delighted to announce its exciting exhibition “MEMOIR” by Drew Harris, Canadian artist, from 13 Nov to 23 Dec, with the Opening Reception on 13 November (Sat 3-6pm).
Through his artworks, he brings the audience on a journey of his memories and expresses the emotion of isolation.
Harris is a contemporary painter best known for his abstract art. “As an abstractionist, I have almost always been drawn to the confident line, a stroke of colour, a splash of water that marks the surface and creates a story that we can all read into,” Harris stated.
The diffuse, structural abstraction are evocative and introspective. His works have been inspired by the environment and weather-related elements. The artworks are means for all of us to travel back to the times when the world is less restricted. The rich tones and the contrast of the colours draws parallels to the intensive emotions we experience when we face our memories, which remain a vital part of this series of abstracted landscapes.
