Art For Everyone @HKMoA, Hong Kong's city-wide art campaign, launches today. Showcasing 100 images of artwork selected from the Hong Kong Museum of Art's collection on 490 billboards, digital displays and transport hubs, in outdoor and indoor spaces, the campaign presents art for everyone, everywhere across the city. The campaign is introduced by and in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the not-for-profit organisation Friends of Hong Kong Museum of Art.
The full list of locations, artworks and artists is easily accessed through a custom-made augmented reality mobile application (AR App) "ArtForEveryone.hk", which is enabled with a map view that makes it easy to find the nearest artwork images. The bilingual AR App "ArtForEveryone.hk" can be downloaded for free via app stores and on the campaign website from today.
Ten of the 100 artworks are AR-enabled, allowing viewers to engage with art in a new format. The playful interactions aim to create a unique viewing experience for people of all ages. AR-enabled images can be located using the App, or the complete set of AR artwork images can be viewed at seven Henderson Land shopping malls, including Kolour in Tsuen Wan and Yuen Long, MCP in Tseung Kwan O, MOStown in Ma On Shan, Shatin Centre in Shatin, Square Mile in Tai Kok Tsui and Trend Plaza in Tuen Mun.
