An interdisciplinary orchestration of visual arts, interactive installations, soundscape, movement performance, site-specific writing and reading, Before a Passage meanders at the North Point (East) Pier as it looks upon the adjacent North Point Car Ferry and its eponymous poem by Hong Kong poet Leung Ping-kwan (Yasi).
Collaboratively created by ceramicist Annie Wan, media artist Kingsley Ng, composer Fung Lam, choreographer Chloe Wong, curator Stephanie Cheung and a team of cross-disciplinary art practitioners, Before a Passage awaits people from all corners.
Amidst moving lights and pensive sound, step onto ceramic fragments, sway on contemplative swings, make an unanswered call… Walk, and let it sink in, here and now.
Language is not a barrier in this programme. All activities will take place on the 2/F of the pier. There will be no ferry ride. Registration is required.
Venue address: North Point (East) Pier, Upper deck
