Streams Gallery is proud to present Space In Between to Words - Alex Krueger solo exhibition in Hong Kong. The exhibition will be on view from 28th April to 28th May 2023.
From the mundane to the exuberant lifes, endless questions surrounds revolving around human relationships, political values, capitalism, identity, which made us indifferent towards the nonsensical and inhuman. The situation is described as “Kafkaesque”, referring to Franz Kafka’s view of a bureaucratic, lifeless and wordless society.
Entangled in a Kafkaesque paranoia, Krueger sees passionless people fenced up by barbed wires, incarcerated in a violent sea of intrusive emotions, seeking ways to express and escape, alas muted and trapped by the space between words and hearts.
Outline the thoughts,
Sum up the parts,
Fascia tangled around bone,
Gripped knots drive blood out,
Milk white bones,
Fat, hot and lubricated.
Six months later,
space IN-between to words.
We call it flux, limbo, preservation of a continual march.
Wayward to the sun, disposed of the heat.
We find warmth in the familia;
Fear lies behind every door worth opening.
Only self-made manufactured keys: dispose of locks.
space IN-between to words,
Visualised as condensation released from the breath.
The thaw before the break;
The adding up of facts, before the jump of the attack.
On a frost covered breath.
Like a steer in a field unaware of its own manufactured reality;
until right before death.
