In his image-making practice and urban landscape paintings, Frank Tang Kai Yiu documents the community topography of Hong Kong including memorial parks, urban landscape, and historical buildings, as a means to reshape the city’s postcolonial history and untangle the connections among its inhabitants. This workshop follows theneighbourhood map drawn by Yesi’s poem ‘Midday, Quarry Bay’, where the poet depictsscenes of Quarry Bay in the 1970’s that may or may not still exist today. Participants willtake a stroll around Quarry Bay with the artist and record and share the journey in the formof a zine.
