Over the last decade, Dawn Jewellery has gradually transformed into a collaborative platform featuring fine jewelry and craft objects from artisans both locally and internationally, dedicated to telling the story of their craftsmanship and philosophy. With a strong mission to educate the wider public and nurture new talents, Dawn Jewellery is rebranded as Dawn Atelier & Academy to mark the evolution of the platform. DA&A will serve as a crucible for skill development, providing a wellspring of resources to the industry and ensuring that the flame of craftsmanship is passed on to illuminate the future.
To mark this significant milestone, DA&A will start its year-long celebration from this September, kicking off with the launch of a new gallery space at H Queen’s on 28 September. The inaugural exhibition at H Queen's will present an archive of Dawn, host seven workstations with artists and craftsmen each showcasing a distinct technique, and introduce the new fair conceived by Yve Chan titled "Craft For", with participating artists exhibiting selected work at the gallery. Additionally, DA&A will showcase of a "Cabinet of Dawn", which marks a decade of curated collections, gathering both the DA&A inhouse goldsmith’s own creations and the exceptional works of their partners. This will be followed by the inaugural “Craft For” fair at the brand’s flagship store in Mira Place, workshops and talks at DA&A’s sister brand Sunsmith’s space in Causeway Bay, and guided tours to accompany all these events.
