Zao Wou-ki at Alisan Fine Arts
Just when you thought that you’ve seen a lot of works by Zao Wou-ki you are being introduced to the abstract lithograph printed in 11 colours.
There is abundance of books, essays, interviews and articles about the artist’s early years in China, rest of his life in France, circle of artists he was inspired by or was friends with, his merge of traditional Chinese and modern Western art, his later rediscovery and revisiting of China etc. I really doubt I have much to add to that, so this is just a small post of admiration for Zao Wou-ki joyful curiosity and devotion to the style and his true self.
