I enjoy visiting artists and seeing their studios. I show them the way I see them, hopefully revealing something interesting.

Jan 30 Posthuman Abstraction at Double Q Gallery

Exhibition

Presenting works by Polish artists Wanda Czełkowska and Zuza Golińska. Although they are artists from different generations and therefore backgrounds, both of them approach sculpture in a very broad contemporary sense. Subtraction of material, juxtaposition of textures, control of a form, and buildup of volume—mostly with an anthropomorphic or posthuman narratives in mind. Really loved the stories about the meticulous process of placing all the folds and ruffles in the exactly right positions during the installation process.
