Matthew Ronay: The Tombs Are Upset at Perrotin

Matthew Ronay: The Tombs Are Upset at Perrotin

Whimsical hand-carved wooden sculptures, that look as if amorphous creatures, mutant cells or merged body parts escaped the pages of some unknown pages of Codex Seraphinianus or Voynich manuscript and gained texture, weight and volume. Put together in groups or in a sort of progression they intrigue and fascinate.
(Also: highly recommend to listen to artist’s talks on youtube if you have time; the amount of thought and research behind his works is delightful)

\Exhibition period: 5.05—10.06
