Pablo Picasso: Paintings in Glass at UMAG
The funkiest Picasso you could ever see. Originally invented by the French painter Jean Crotti, the Gemmail technique was further developed by the workshops of Roger Malherbe-Navarre until Picasso was introduced to it at 1954. Excited about the possibilities of a new way of showing his works he created around 50 works in a close collaboration with the workshop. Illuminated fused pieces of glass shine and glow like a multilayered textured stained glass. Or lollipops.
