Sublime Bodies at Aishonanzuka

Surreal and grotesque works by Christian Rex Van Minnen rhyme visually with paintings by Cleon Peterson (that always make me think about greek black- and red-figure pottery). I suspect that Javier Calleja’s works were added to balance and ease the violent intensity.
Look closely to smaller works by Christian Rex Van Minnen—there are small homages to signature visual elements and characters of two other artists. And don’t miss three more of them in the office part of the gallery.
