Dec 19 Jun Takahashi: Peaceable Kingdom at WKM Gallery

Exhibition

The classical case of IYKYK. These paintings are largely inseparable from the other works of Jun Takahashi, the runaway collections of his iconic brand UNDERCOVER. The surreal quality of eyeless portraits and reoccurring apples and clouds motif inevitably reminds one of Rene Magritte, and that perfectly rhymes with the eerie and dark aesthetic of UNDERCOVER collections. That’s a rare chance to look a bit deeper into a designer’s imaginary world and see parallels between art and fashion.
