Haim Steinbach: tin drum at White Cube

The common way to look at these arrangement of objects is to see them akin to notes of a music piece or words of a poem but I find them similar to lines of emojis. Every object holds its own meaning and semantic value—historical, nostalgic, geographical—but combined together they immediately generate a message with plethora of meanings.
(It took me a lot of mental effort to understand the connection to The Tin Drum by Günter Grass and I have to admit that I failed)
