There’s no surprise that one of the founders of a legendary Stars Art Group was influenced by the ongoing war in Ukraine — the sculptural work that gave the title to the exhibition expresses support and hope for the peaceful future. Continuing with his art practice that combines vigorous social criticism with constant experimentation Huang Rui presents new series of mixed media works. Landscapes and mythology, poetry and mathematics, opera and philosophy — the list of inspirations and interests can go on and on.
