Interesting how the good old — century old to be precise — futuristic style is still perceived as contemporary. Umberto Boccioni still looks extremely fresh! The same is true for another future-inspired period, the 60s: almost no sci-fi movie is possible without a piece of furniture by Eero Saarinen or Pierre Paulin. And I am even not talking about Paco Rabanne dresses. So I guess we are too busy being nostalgic to really imagine the future.
