TIL that Carl Gustav Jung wrote Flying Saucers: A Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Sky where he suggested that UFO sightings are projections of societal anxieties and stress. So these ghosty aliens are not a sci-fi reference but rather an invitation for the exploration of dark and maybe not that friendly corners of unconsciousness.
