Soy Dreams of Milk at Blindspot Gallery

Soy Dreams of Milk at Blindspot Gallery

Six voices telling stories of departure, voluntary or forced, of in-betweenness, temporary or permanent, of arriving to the destination, not the imaginary one—or not being the ones who we imagined to be.
Whether the decision was optimistically or blithely taken in the hope for finding a better place or it is a traumatic story of losing identity and roots the stories of various Asian migrations are united by the themes of adapting, adjusting and also belonging and preserving.
Artists: Patty Chang, Michael Ho, Lap-See Lam, Tan Jing, Zadie Xa, Xiyadie
Curated by Nick Yu.

(The title rhymes for me with the Venice Biennale theme “The Milk of Dreams”, which lead to accidentally making up several versions of the exhibition title)

Exhibition period: 13.09—12.11.22
